5 places for a vintage lover

Vintage clothing is slowly becoming a small obsession of mine. During the summer I went on a vintage shopping trip across London with my friend Jess and I  can’t wait to do it again! I looked up a few vintage stores the night before and off we went the next day.

1)Camden Market is the best place to find unique jewellery. It is filled will stalls of  handcrafted jewellery by amazing artists. I can’t believe it has taken me this long to actually visit this place. Some of the stalls can be a bit pricey but there are a few well worth going to.

2) If you are looking for a place that sells shirts with eclectic designs coming in all shapes and sizes then Rokit it is the place for you! If I am buying a shirt with a funky pattern  I prefer it to be oversized because I like the casual/laid back look. If you are looking for anything denim at a decent price then Rokit is the one for you. I need to go back sometime and get myself some dungarees. Yes I am an adult and yes I want dungarees! I’m not ready to let go of my childhood just yet.

3) Beyond Retro sells pieces from across the decades. Sadly, this was the last stop on our trip and we couldn’t spend as much time there as we had wanted because it was close to closing time. It took us a while to find the store due to my poor navigation skills. I shouldn’t be trusted with Google Maps to be honest but somehow I always end up with the responsibility *sigh*. Anyway,  you know that feeling you get when you walk into a store and you think to yourself this is my shop! Yup that was me for a good 5 mins and then I snapped out of my daze and walked in. There were so many interesting pieces I didn’t know what section of the shop to start at.

4) Harper and Lewis vintage

I found the perfect oversized denim jacket here and their clothes are really affordable. I managed to get my denim jacket for just £25! I had been struggling to find one under £40 that I actually liked. This just goes to show that if you’re patient you’ll find what you’re looking for in time and on your own terms!

5) Watch This Space Boutique

Don’t you just love it when you find new boutiques on random walks to town? Watch This Space is a boutique in Leicester that sells unique handcrafted trinkets. The first time I stumbled across it I instantly fell in love. I think I have said this many times before, I love wearing jewellery with unique designs. All the items in the shop have been sourced from underground independent artists and designers. I find it so fascinating how people can create amazing designs and make them come to life. The shop itself is set up like an exhibition adding to the shopper’s experience.

These are just a few pieces I am currently in love with on the Rokit vintage website.
