I am quite new to eye make up but so far my little experiments have worked out for me. I was messing around with my make up and I thought this look would be perfect for New Years.
I started off by priming my face with my stay matte primer by Rimmel and then put my BB cream by Sleek in the colour medium on my face. I used approximately 2 large dots of my BB cream and dotted it onto key areas of my face e.g. forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. Afterwards, I used my finger tips to rub the dots into my face. I find this method gives me an even application of the product; helping it to really blend into my skin. After, I highlighted my under eye and T zone using LA Pro Conceal in the colour Fawn and lightly contoured my cheeks and forehead with Embark by MAC.
I am absolutely loving my Naked 2 palette! The colours are very rich and pigmented. It is worth investing in and I think I will invest in getting another Naked palette. I used Tease to prime eyelids and then used a round eyeshadow brush and an angled brush to apply Blackout to the outer corners of my eyes. Next, I used a dark brown eyeshadow in my crease and blended it out. You can use any dark brown eyeshadow. It helps to intensify the smoky eye effect. Blend, Blend, Blend! On my eyelids, I used Chopper and used an angled brush to place Half Baked into my tear ducts. I lined my lower lash line with Embark by MAC. If you have small eyes like me avoid lining your lower lash line with a black liner or eyeshadow because it will make your eyes look even smaller. Sadly, I learnt this the hard way!
To finish off my dramatic eyes, I lined my eyelids with my liquid liner by Collection. If you want to know how I achieved my winged eyeliner look you can look at my how to achieve perfectly winged eyeliner post which will give you a step by step guide on how to do it.
Finally, I lined my lips with a dark purple lip liner and used a lipstick called All Fired Up by MAC to get a rich pink/red colour. I think this is my favourite lip look so far. If you want the stop and stare effect this lip look is definitely for you!
