Hey everyone! As it’s summertime using foundation can be very messy because of the heat. I find it too heavy and I would literally be able to feel the spots growing on my face. I don’t know how girls manage to wear a full face of make up when it’s ridiculously hot. No one wants to look like a hot mess in awesome weather! I’m very spot prone in the summer so I like to use Sleek’s BB cream as an alternative to foundation. It’s very light and I only need to use a little bit. A little goes a long way.
When you have oily skin primer is life! So far the only one that has worked for me is the Stay Matte Primer by Rimmel. It stops my face from looking really shiny and helps my make up last longer and look smoother.
It has taken me years to learn how to do my eyeliner and avoid the “panda eyes” look. The key is to take your time and be very patient! I always look to Youtube to give me guidance but in this case it didn’t really help me because everyone had their own way of doing it. My advice would be to try out different methods and see which one works for you or make your own method. I prefer to use liquid eyeliner because it’s easy to apply and it lasts the whole day. I love using the black liquid eyeliner by Collection because it’s cheap and I like the way the end of the applicator stick is shaped. It’s not too thick and the end is pointed which makes it easier to create a more accurate line.
I don’t highlight and contour my face (I have yet to learn how) so I rely solely on blush to give my face a bit of dimension. The Sleek blushes are quite pigmented and have a wide selection of colours making them suitable for a wider range of skin tones. I remember when I used to use a glittery blush that was too light for my skin tone. Oh, but that’s not where the story ends! I used to put it on my cheeks as two massive circles. No blending whatsoever (tragic I know)! I must have looked like a faded clown *sigh*.
There’s definitely an art doing make up. The more you practice the better you become. Thanks for reading!
