How To Stay Motivated

Hey everyone! Have you ever had a brilliant idea that you wanted to bring to life but did not have the motivation to do it? Almost 9 out of 10 times I find myself in this particular predicament. At first I am excited and all fired  up  to start a new project however,  for some reason that fire quickly extinguishes leaving the remnants of something that could have been great.

If you are going to do something make sure you finish it and do it to the best of your abilities. The sense of accomplishment is not one that is easily forgotten and will push you to exceed your own expectations in everything you do. Here are a few ideas to help you to either stay or start being motivated.

Motivational quotes
Motivational quotes are a great way to get into the zone. Frame and place them in areas where you will see them everyday. It’s also a great way to liven up your room!

Set a deadline for finishing the project
If you set a deadline then you can create a timeline to get the project done. It’s easier to do something if you know when it will end and how long it will take to complete.

Positive Thinking
The power of positive thinking can do so much.  If you think you can achieve something then you can. Motivation starts with the mind. The only true obstacle you will ever have to face is yourself. If you think you can achieve something then you will.

Incentives
For every milestone give yourself a little treat such as your favourite chocolate, ice cream or whatever floats your boat. Personally, I love Kinder Bueno. I treat myself to it a little too often which probably  defeats the whole purpose of it being an incentive!  I guess Lindor chocolate is more of an incentive for me as I only have it on special occasions.

Little Reminders
Get a friend or family member to check up on how your project is going once a week. Sometimes you need the extra push  to keep yourself motivated and on track.

I hope you’ve found a few of these ideas helpful! How do you stay motivated?

Thanks for reading!

    1. I’m glad my post helped you! I think some New Year’s resolutions can be hard to do so you get put off but once you have achieved it you’ll feel so proud of yourself and be motivated to set more aims for yourself 😁
